The high-frequency section features a newly developed 90° x 60° horn in CD design (Constant Directivity). The dispersion behavior has been optimized so that, unlike conventional horns, it delivers precise and balanced reproduction even at very oblique angles. This enables a larger area to be covered without disruptive irregularities. The optimal directivity opening angle is 90° horizontally and 60° vertically. As a result, the full frequency spectrum is preserved even in the furthest corners of the coverage area.

Across a wide range, frequency bands are smoothed to ensure you always enjoy an amazingly clear monitor sound. Both presets were refined through countless listening tests with experienced sound engineers to perfect every detail. In short, you get a multiband compressor whose dynamic control delivers a balanced, low-distortion sound at any output level.

Comprehensive DSP Protection Functions For Maximum Loudness

With a typical system made up of passive speakers, amplifiers and signal processors, it can be tedious to tune each component optimally. One advantage of active speakers is that the amplifiers can be perfectly matched to the individual drivers. During development of the DSR, DXR and DXS ranges, the load capacity of every transducer and the total amplifier output were extensively measured and tested. There were countless indoor and outdoor listening tests. Based on the results we were then able to set the limiter’s optimal operating point for each model via precise DSP tuning.

In addition to optimized limiting, our new speaker systems incorporate many protection features also used in our top-tier professional TXn amplifiers. A high-performance DSP chip constantly monitors incoming signals as well as the status of the power supply, amplifiers and transducers to protect every component. This ensures the speakers can deliver their full potential and operate completely safely even under the most demanding conditions.

High-Efficiency Class-D Amplifier With 1100 Watts

All speakers in the DXR range feature super-efficient Class-D amplifiers optimally matched to the high- and low-frequency drivers. These amps deliver an impressive 1100 watts for their class and produce a striking SPL of 133 dB. They provide fast attack times and exceptional transient response, contributing significantly to the incredible audio performance of these speakers.

The DXR range’s power capability is also supported by a new, highly efficient switching power supply. It accepts multiple input voltages and can therefore be used worldwide.

Intelligent 3-Channel Mixer

The DXR series features a flexible onboard mixer with multiple inputs, making it ideal for easy reinforcement of vocals or instruments. With flexible input/output assignments, a PA can be built entirely from DXR speakers, or the models can be seamlessly integrated into systems with DSR and DXS models.

The internal mixer handles up to three simultaneous inputs. It accepts both line and microphone levels, so you can connect all kinds of microphones, line instruments and portable audio devices. In the MIC position a high-pass filter is automatically engaged to cut unwanted handling noise.

All DXR speakers offer a high-pass filter adjustment to match them to DSR and DXS speaker models. You can choose between 100 Hz and 120 Hz cutoff frequencies depending on the subwoofer you use. The DXS subwoofers additionally provide an adjustable low-pass filter (LPF), enabling a perfectly optimized HPF/LPF combination.

Each channel has its own level control, so you can mix three independent signal sources. THRU carries the input signal from channel 1. LINK OUT carries the sum of all channels and is ideal for daisychaining or routing the mix to another location. LINK OUT is also useful when building a compact PA with another DXR. LINK MODE lets you select between stereo and dual-mono operation.

Durable, Compact ABS Enclosures

The full-range models feature rugged, low-resonance ABS enclosures capable of absorbing vibrations generated at high levels. This minimizes distortion and ensures outstanding sound quality. The roadworthy enclosures are fitted with sturdy grilles and ergonomic aluminium handles for increased durability and easier transport.

Rig Mounting Provisions For Standard Eyebolts And Optional U-Brackets

DXR speakers include provisions for rigging via standard eyebolts*. If more hanging options are needed, optional U-brackets are available. They allow straightforward “flying” of the speakers in either horizontal or vertical orientation. *Eyebolts sold separately
