The SUB 8006-AS is the largest and most powerful active subwoofer in the professional series. Equipped with two 18" transducers with 4" voice coils on the inside and outside, this enclosure is engineered to deliver a massive amount of low frequencies. The SUB 8006-AS is driven by a digital amplifier module with 2500 W of power and can perform even in the most demanding situations.

Powerful Class-D Amplifiers

RCF's Class-D amplifier technology combines large power reserves with high efficiency and low weight. RCF amplifiers are distinguished by an extremely fast response, accurate transient reproduction and an impressive sonic character. The robust aluminum chassis protects the amplifier during transport and also supports fanless heat dissipation. All amplifiers feature switch-mode power supplies for minimal weight and maximum output.

Innovative Transducer Technology

RCF focuses on developing state-of-the-art transducers using high-tech materials such as neodymium, carbon fiber, pure titanium, Kevlar, Kapton and Mylar hybrids. With 70 years of experience in design, manufacture and marketing, RCF has driven many technological advances, including the carbon-cone diaphragm, the dual-silicone spider, the forming of diaphragms from pure titanium, as well as new voice-coil winding techniques like inside/outside-wound and rectangular-wire windings. Their latest innovations led to advanced neodymium magnetic circuits, entirely new ventilation systems for voice coils and groundbreaking direct-drive voice coil solutions.

Enclosures & Mounting Hardware

RCF enclosures are made from birch multiplex and coated with a black textured finish. The subwoofers are stackable and relatively lightweight, and the ergonomically shaped handles make them easy to rig and derig. Pole-mount flanges on the top and on one side allow using the box in various configurations. The powder-coated front grille is backed on the inside with acoustic foam that provides additional dust protection for the drivers.
