The RCF NX 912-SMA is a stage monitor designed for PA providers, musicians, bands and DJs. The combination of a 1.75" compression driver, a 12" woofer, a 2-channel amplifier with 2100 W and the TRW waveguide delivers a consistent 100° x 70° coverage of the listening area with up to 130 dB SPL of distortion-free sound.

Whether used as a stage monitor, a stand-alone loudspeaker system or as a satellite with a subwoofer: the compact NX 912-SMA is powerful and reliable. All models in the NX 912-SMA series feature precisely tuned FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control algorithms for absolute transparency and an extensive, powerful bass response. The rugged, tour-ready wooden enclosure is easy to transport and can be deployed on stage or mounted on a pole.

Power That Moves

RCF transducers and amplifiers are continually optimized. With 2100 W, the 2-channel Class-D amplifier in the NX 9 series is 50 percent more powerful than its predecessors, delivering impressive sound pressure levels with ultra-fast attack and natural transient reproduction while keeping heat loss low.

The NX 9 speakers are so energy-efficient that they do not require a cooling fan. Instead, the amplifier is mounted at the rear of the enclosure to a fixed heatsink without moving parts. The signal input path has been optimized for low distortion and includes an advanced limiter for added protection, preserving the tonal characteristics of the input signal at all levels. All NX 9 amplifiers meet safety standards (EN62368-1) and are powered by a highly efficient, ultra-lightweight switching power supply.

Bass Motion Control

To achieve extended bass response and greater output, the development team replaced the standard high-pass filter with the forward-looking BMC (Bass Motion Control) technology to control woofer excursion. The BMC-equipped enclosure handles even the lowest audible frequencies without compromising woofer stability — for a linear, extended bass range and a balanced sound.

Rugged and Tour-Ready

The NX 9-SMA enclosures shine both as FOH systems and as floor monitors. Their versatility makes them a perfect choice for a wide range of live sound applications. The robust wooden enclosures are easy to transport thanks to ergonomic aluminum handles. A steel pole flange allows vertical mounting on a stand or a subwoofer pole.

The speaker enclosure is made from high-quality birch multiplex plywood, whose individual plies are bonded with a special adhesive. This makes the enclosure inherently water-resistant even before it is coated with the special polyurea finish that gives it high scratch and impact resistance.
