MAUI 28 G3 3-Way Cardioid Column Speaker!
Compact, powerful and fuss-free - a column PA remains the ideal partner for DJs and small bands. LD Systems' MAUI series embodies the all-in-one concept in its purest form, offering an unbeatable PA package of sound, design, tech and handling. Set up, plug in, go!
The MAUI 28 G3 delivers a big, punchy and precise sound with 1,030 W RMS power (2,060 W peak), convincing in every application: as a main PA for concerts, as a sound system for mobile DJs or as a PA for weddings, corporate events and other occasions.
With its elegant design the MAUI 28 G3 looks especially cohesive. The two aluminum column elements in the MAUI G3 series sit at the front edge of the subwoofer, enhancing the seamless visual impression. The columns house 12 x 3.5" mid drivers which, combined with the innovative phase-plug design and the 2 x 1" high-frequency drivers, ensure even sound distribution with consistent horizontal dispersion. In addition, the BEM-optimized waveguide in front of the tweeters carries high frequencies well into the rear audience areas.
The crossover point, the transition between mid and high drivers, was also refined by the developers to reduce harmonic distortion and cancellations and to make the sound even more transparent and punchy. The result: an especially precise reproduction of vocals and instruments across the entire 120° x 30° coverage area.
The MAUI 28 G3 columns are designed as cardioid speakers. This provides controlled low-mid forward projection and up to 18 dB of attenuation to the rear, resulting in a clean on-stage sound field.
With its larger 12" chassis and four bass-reflex ports the noticeably more powerful subwoofer reproduces bass down to 37 Hz clearly and with impact. Using a second subwoofer can boost the bass by 6 dB and switch to a cardioid configuration at the push of a button (preset). Moreover, the extremely durable polyurea coating of the subwoofer easily withstands the toughest demands on the road.
The MAUI 28 G3 is a true sound machine, but it also impresses with practical features for DJs, musicians and techs. Thanks to Bluetooth® 5.0 and AAC encoding, the column PA becomes a versatile sound system. Transport is as easy as ever, and the improved, invisible connectors between the elements provide increased stability during setup.
The MAUI really can't be easily rattled!
