JBL PRX835W - Active PA Speaker with DSP and WiFi!
The JBL PRX835W is a 3-way, bi-amped speaker delivering 1,500 watts. The integrated bi-amp amplifier module provides a total of 1,500 watts and features a DSP with full controller functions. These can be configured individually via Wi-Fi and the PRX Connect app. Thanks to the horn-loaded midrange section with a 6.5" chassis, the JBL PRX835W achieves extremely high speech intelligibility and very precise dispersion.
The EQ setting can be switched from "Normal" to "Boost" depending on the application and type of signal. Additional features include two inputs, each with XLR, 1/4" jack and phono connectors, as well as a switchable XLR output to pass the input signal. Input sensitivity is switchable between mic and line.
With its high output, the JBL PRX835W is suitable as a standalone system for applications that demand high levels. Typical uses include any sound reinforcement where excellent speech or vocal intelligibility is required. Thanks to the very precise directivity of the JBL PRX835W, acoustically challenging rooms can be covered effectively without exciting unwanted reflections.
The JBL PRX835W is equipped with a high-quality Dual Coil Drive chassis, a specially developed neodymium high-frequency driver and very efficient digital amplifier circuits.
The trapezoidal enclosure is built from sturdy multiplex plywood and finished with JBL's durable DuraFlex coating. The front grille is powder-coated steel backed with acoustically transparent cloth. It protects the components effectively from mechanical impact.
