This nifty mixer packs a lot into a small package: alongside the combo inputs for microphones and instruments, it offers a media player and a bidirectional audio interface. And you don't even need a separate power outlet!
Channels 1 to 4
These channels feature XLR/¼" jack sockets for connecting a microphone or an instrument. Do you own a condenser microphone that requires phantom power? No problem! Press the switch and you're good to go. For tone shaping there's a 2-band equalizer and a switchable echo effect. Delay and number of echoes can be conveniently adjusted using the yellow knobs. The peak indicator next to the volume control warns of clipping.
Stereo Channel 5/6
For electronic instruments like keyboards and samplers there's a dedicated channel with selectable jack or phono inputs. Even this stereo channel includes a 2-band equalizer.
USB Playback
A DJ's heart will be glad: a small USB stick full of music is enough to keep the guests entertained all evening. Transport functions make the MP3 player easy to operate, and the display provides intuitive control.
Micro-USB
The small USB connector on the rear serves both as the power input to supply the mixer and as the digital audio interface. Whether you use a USB power adapter, power the mixer from a laptop, or run it from a power bank makes no difference. The digitized audio signal is received and sent via the USB socket. I actually only wanted to use it for small live performances where I don't have mains power and I want to use the small condenser mics for the choir. That works fine until the guitar is plugged in too, then it becomes unbearable. But that's exactly what I need, and unfortunately I have to send it back because it won't work. I could tolerate a bit of noise (I'm not a quality fanatic) but it's not just loud noise, it's irregular, relatively loud noises, the origin of which can't be explained so easily.
Nevertheless, there are two points, because the operation with a power bank works, and there are also constellations where the sound is very good to acceptable.
