The PSR-F52 provides a solid foundation for anyone seeking an entry into keyboard playing.
This Is a Keyboard for Everyone, Regardless of Your Favorite Musical Style
Beyond pianos, guitars and wind instruments, the Yamaha PSR-F52 is equipped with voices that are essential for many musical styles from around the world. The accompaniment (Style) function guarantees fun playing with a virtual band and includes a versatile selection of genres such as rock and jazz. In addition, there are numerous musical styles from many different countries.
Furthermore, the PSR-F52 comes packed with beginner-friendly features. For example, the Smart Chord function lets you enjoy playing with the auto-accompaniment immediately, even without chord knowledge. You also receive a free downloadable song book with many standard melodies and can use video learning units.
High-Quality Essential Voices
The PSR-F52 is equipped with 144 beautiful voices, all born from Yamaha's expertise in building musical instruments. From world-famous pianos and organs to guitars, strings and wind instruments, synthesizers and many more: the PSR-F52 lets you apply all these instruments realistically for any kind of music. Moreover, Yamaha not only knows how these instruments should sound, but also how to make them as easy to play as possible. You can always navigate clearly through the large selection so you can find exactly what you're looking for.
Whether the latest chart hit or a classic evergreen: it's always about reproducing the sound as authentically as possible. The PSR-F52 offers a much greater variety of instruments from around the world than its predecessor, the PSR-F51. And the new Sound Boost function gives your sound even more power. Use it for dance music or other situations to create a punchier sound.
The Whole World in One Instrument
Many Accompaniment Styles for the Music of Your Country
Familiar rhythms are another secret to music's appeal. Yamaha's accompaniment provides professional rhythms, bass lines and phrases tailored as backing for your left hand. Only Yamaha has the comprehensive musical and instrument knowledge required to create accompaniments so sophisticated that even professional musicians consider them stage-worthy. The PSR-F52 offers a much larger selection with a total of 158 styles than its predecessor, the PSR-F51. Choose styles from rock, jazz, eurotrance and other globally appealing genres that you need to play your favorite songs — from Modern Dangdut (Indonesia) and Reggaeton Pop (Latin) to Saeidy (Middle East), Modern Afrobeat (Africa), Bhangra (India) and more. You can enjoy your favorite songs in their original styles, or experiment by playing them with different styles to see how much fun that can be!
And Much More!
The PSR-F52 is packed with features that help beginners enjoy music. The song function is loaded with attractive standards from around the world that are fun to listen to. You can mute the left or right-hand parts and play songs at a slower speed to make practice easier, as explained in the free downloadable Song Book. With the Smart Chord function you can trigger the Style feature with a single finger and avoid memorizing complex chords. Try out the songs in the Song Book marked with the Smart Chord symbol!
In addition, learning videos are available for the most popular songs in the Song Book. Enjoy practicing — step by step is the key to mastering the keyboard. With the free downloadable Song Book and more, the PSR-F52 provides all the tools a beginner needs.
There are many more ways to enjoy the PSR-F52. It also features the handy Duo function, which splits the keyboard in the middle so you can play together with family members or friends. The Transpose function, which changes the pitch without forcing the player to perform in a different key, is a useful feature to accommodate karaoke singers with different ranges. Discover the many possibilities the PSR-F52 offers beyond simple playing. The keyboard can also run on 6 "AA" batteries for playing outdoors or anywhere!

The keyboard does not stand straight, but wobbles back and forth when playing on the keyboard stand.
Ordered it just to practice notes, it serves its purpose but is not a joy to use. Absolutely not suitable for learning to play the piano.
