Jackson was born in 1980 in Southern California and was the first brand to cater specifically to the needs of hard rock and metal virtuosos by equipping instruments with features tailored for high-speed playing.

The American Series Virtuoso HT was designed to inspire players around the world and comes loaded with all the essential features demanded by today's high-speed players. The model starts with an alder body and a contoured "handshake" neck joint that provides ergonomic comfort during long sets.

The five-piece, multi-layer neck of caramelized maple/maple is bolted on with screwed-in graphite reinforcement rods that ensure rock-solid stability up to the 24th fret. The ultra-fast 12"-16" long ebony fingerboard with compound radius and rolled edges is designed from the outset for easy chord work and riffing near the nut and fast scale runs up the neck. Luminlay side dots ensure you always land on the right fret even on the darkest stage, while a truss-rod adjustment wheel at the heel allows quick neck-relief tweaks in no time.

The HH pickup configuration features a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucker bridge pickup, which delivers hot output and powerful bass, while the Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N neck pickup offers glassy highs and scooped mids that suit a wide range of genres. The intuitive control layout consists of a five-way switch and dome-style knobs for volume and tone.
