Duesenberg Starplayer TV+ Black - Return (Condition: good)

Beauty. Clarity. Reliability.

It wasn't designed to excel at one specific job. It was designed to bring something new to the table everywhere. It's made for artists who want to develop their own voice and refuse to limit their craft. And it comes equipped with a wealth of tools to help you on that journey.

Headstock & Tuners

These tuners not only work extremely precisely, they also allow the sharp string ends to be hidden inside the tuner shaft so they can't damage the case, gigbag or your fingertips. Guaranteed maintenance-free for life!

Neck & Fingerboard

String action—that is, the distance of the strings to the frets—can only be set low if all frets are precisely level. To achieve this, every Duesenberg instrument goes through the ingenious Plek process, which levels the frets to within 1/100th of a millimeter. Each fret is measured and worked on individually to achieve optimal playability. Our elaborate rework is carried out entirely by hand. Every single fret is perfectly polished and the fingerboard edges carefully rounded to create a comfortable playing feel. This provides the foundation for the promise that a Duesenberg will always feel unique.

Pickups

The warm, creamy Domino P90 in the neck position teams up with the classically voiced GrandVintage Humbucker at the bridge to form a proven dream team that many have tried—and failed—to copy. The middle position of the heavy-duty 3-way switch is especially popular: via a special circuit it selectively filters bass content from the humbucker sound. The resulting tone expands your palette with an openness, freshness and versatility that is unique.

Diamond Deluxe Tremola

Silky-smooth tremolo action, great tuning stability and stress-free string changes are its most obvious advantages. But there's more to discover: the Diamond Deluxe Tremola delivers top tonal quality because it's built from lightweight materials. Precise needle and robust nylon bearings as well as a finely tuned spring ensure a direct response with expressive tremolo feel. The arm can also be rotated 360° and adjusted in length and angle. String changes are uncomplicated because the strings are simply guided through eyelets beneath the pivot and anchored there. Proven in daily use on stages around the world.

Maple & Spruce

The Starplayer TV comes with an elegant, laminated spruce top. The neck is crafted from a single piece of finest maple.

Nickel Hardware

The majority of the hardware is nickel-plated. Compared to chrome, nickel offers a warm, elegant sheen that develops a natural patina over time. Nickel was traditionally used to finish metals before chrome plating became the industry standard.

Starplayer TV+ Piezo

The Starplayer TV+ features an additional piezo pickup integrated into the bridge, which can be activated via a slider on the pickguard and mixed into the other pickup signals using a multi-tone pot. This pickup produces a more resolving high-frequency range and a sparkle that is not only perfect for fingerpicking but generally brings more clarity where it's wanted.

Built to Last

Indestructible like a flight case, classically shaped, built from high-quality materials and designed to withstand most realistic—and unrealistic—adversities. You can throw this case into your car trunk, a train's luggage rack or an airplane cargo hold without a second thought about it or its contents.

The clear and flexible sound of the Starplayer TV feels at home in every genre!
