Flight Concert Ukulele With Solid mahogany Top!
The Flight NUC500 is here to shake up the world of ukuleles. A solid top at this price? That has never happened—until now. With its solid mahogany top, this ukulele delivers a full, resonant tone that can hold its own against higher-end all-solid models.
The lightweight concert body, the rosewood fretboard and the open-pore finish provide a warm tone, smooth playability and a natural feel. Whether you're buying your first ukulele or expanding your collection, the NUC500 sets new standards in the market for solid tops—and at an unbeatable price. The NUC500 is available as soprano, concert and tenor ukulele and belongs to our Natural Series, an upgraded version of a popular classic. It also comes with a brand-new Flight gigbag for extra convenience.
Solid mahogany Top
For the NUC500 concert ukulele we use a solid mahogany top paired with mahogany laminate for the back and sides. mahogany is a dense hardwood known for its straight grain and fine, even texture. Its tonal properties deliver a full, warm sound with excellent sustain and balance. The solid top improves resonance and projection, giving the NUC500 a rich and dynamic tone. As with all our ukuleles, the rosettes are hand-drawn and laser-engraved.
Let's Play
Okoumé Neck & Rosewood Fretboard
The neck of the NUC500 is made from Okoumé, a light yet stable wood that guarantees a comfortable playing experience. Paired with a rosewood fretboard, this combination offers smooth playability, stable intonation and a sleek, modern look.
Perfect Quality
Techwood Bridge and ABS Saddle
The bridge is where the magic happens! The one-piece Techwood bridge of the NUC500 provides excellent stability and a smooth transfer of string vibrations, resulting in a balanced tone. Saddle and bridge are made of ABS, a durable material that gives the ukulele a great sound and reliable performance.
It All Starts With the Headstock
Good-Looking and Easy to Tune
The headstock design is an essential part of our identity. All Flight ukuleles feature a carefully designed headstock with geared tuners that stay in tune. The NUC500's headstock is made of rosewood and matches the fretboard, giving it a unified look and a touch of elegance.
Denim Style
Excellent Protection for Your Uke
Flight gig bags are legendary because they're lightweight and stylish while offering excellent protection for your ukulele. With a bag like this slung over your shoulder, you're guaranteed to turn heads.
