The Cascha baritone ukulele already stands out because of its dimensions: it's the largest ukulele model in the range. It's not just its size, but also its distinctive tuning that leans toward a full guitar. With the notes D-G-B(H)-E, a baritone ukulele's tuning corresponds to the lower four strings of the guitar. So a baritone ukulele is, in a way, a guitar without the low E and A strings, which makes the switch especially easy for guitarists thanks to the identical chord shapes. Still, the Cascha baritone ukulele is also a perfect instrument for beginners and is very easy to play.
The larger dimensions of the Cascha baritone ukulele—with a scale length of 51 cm and an overall length of 76 cm—not only improve handling but also influence its tone. Thanks to the bigger body, the baritone ukulele delivers a more voluminous and fuller sound than its smaller siblings. The longer scale also gives it more frets and therefore a wider tonal range. And with the low D it provides a proper bass string. Thanks to the precise tuners and the excellent-sounding AQUILA nylon strings, it stays perfectly in tune.
The body and neck of the Cascha baritone ukulele are made entirely of mahogany. This gives it a warm, balanced tone with subtle highs. The fretboard and bridge are crafted from dark rosewood, providing a pleasing visual contrast. In addition, the "Red Tortoise" binding on the body and rosette is a real eye-catcher and gives the Cascha baritone ukulele a classic, very elegant appearance.
The two integrated strap pins allow you to attach ukulele straps for comfortable playing while standing. The delivery includes a padded premium gigbag with an embroidered logo. It protects the instrument optimally and offers enough space in the outer pocket for accessories. The bag can be carried easily by the reinforced handle or worn comfortably as a backpack using the adjustable shoulder straps. Also included is a tool to adjust the truss rod so the action can be set perfectly.
