My granddaughter (11 yrs), a piano student, asked me to lend her one of my guitars. Her piano teacher practices with her from time to time to "give" an accompaniment to songs in which she plays melody with the right hand, only from a chord indication itself. She wanted to try to play those same chord statements with guitar (I sometimes accompany her piano playing with guitar). Unfortunately, my guitars were not suitable both for fingering the chords and because of the overall size. When searching for 3/4 guitars, I found almost only classical (which I don't think are suitable for chord accompaniment) or cheap no names. Finding the little Yamaha was a real Christmas present for me and my granddaughter, because its sound almost comes close to my big Yamaha Western (not an expensive model), it is easy to play (even with my "fat" fingers) and keeps its tuning well.
