Fender California Deluxe Redondo CE for the stage, studio and songwriting!
The Fender California Deluxe Redondo CE combines the powerful response of a full-size acoustic guitar with modern playability, reliable electronics and distinctive Fender character. With a solid Sitka spruce top, laminated mahogany body, cutaway and Fishman CD-1 preamp, it's designed for dynamic strumming, clear picking parts and amplified live sounds.
Big sound with a direct response
The Redondo body shape delivers a powerful foundation, strong projection and a broad frequency range that holds its own both for accompaniment and solo passages. The solid Sitka spruce top responds dynamically to your playing and supports clear highs, defined mids and a full-bodied acoustic sound. The laminated mahogany back and sides add warmth, stability and a balanced character that feels at home across many musical styles.
Stable construction for everyday musicianship
The scalloped X-bracing supports the top's free vibration and provides a good balance of resonance, projection and structural stability. This makes the guitar suitable for long sessions at home, creative studio arrangements and reliable stage performances. The combination of a solid top, robust body construction and precisely adjusted hardware makes this instrument a versatile tool for singer-songwriters, acoustic pop, folk, country, rock and modern unplugged sounds.
Comfortable neck and precise feel
The mahogany neck with a slim C profile feels comfortable in your hand and supports smooth chord changes, open voicings and melodic lines. The walnut fingerboard with a 12" radius offers a familiar, modern playing surface that feels natural for both powerful strumming and controlled fingerpicking. The 25.5" scale length provides clear string tension, accurate intonation and an articulate tone. The Micarta nut and matching bridge saddle promote even transfer of string vibration and contribute to a stable response.
Stage-ready with Fishman electronics
For amplified performance, the California Deluxe Redondo CE is equipped with the Fishman CD-1 preamp. Volume, bass and treble controls let you quickly adapt the sound to an amplifier, PA or recording setup. The built-in tuner makes tuning between songs easier, while the phase function helps control feedback when needed. Sealed die-cast tuning machines with split shafts provide reliable tuning stability, and phosphor bronze strings deliver a full, harmonically rich sound right from the first chord.
