Everything You Need to Start Playing Guitar!
This great starter set is ideal for beginners! Whether in music class, at band rehearsal, on stage or around the campfire: the AS-861 brings joy everywhere. Only selected materials are used for AS-861 guitars. The laminated top and body produce a beautiful, warm tone, and the well-crafted bridge transmits the strings' vibration—even from the lightest finger stroke—to the finest detail. The smooth tuning machines also ensure excellent tuning stability.
Classic Look
The AS-861 stands out visually with its bright natural top and the dark-tinted body. The elaborately worked rosette, the attractive ornamented tuning machines and the understated headstock complete the overall appearance.
Which Guitar Size Is Right?
Scale length indicates a guitar's size—or more precisely the length of the vibrating string between the nut and the saddle. The standard scale is 650 mm and corresponds to a 4/4 guitar. All other sizes are therefore smaller and are recommended for children and adolescents.
Our recommendations for the scale length matching age and body height:
| 1/4 Size | Age 4 to 7 years | Height up to 110 cm | Scale approx. 47–49 cm |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 Size | Age 5 to 9 years | Height 110 to 130 cm | Scale approx. 53–55 cm |
| 3/4 Size | Age 8 to 11 years | Height 120 to 140 cm | Scale approx. 59–62 cm |
| 7/8 Size | Age 10 to 13 years | Height 130 to 150 cm | Scale approx. 62–63 cm |
| 4/4 Size | Age from approx. 14 years | Height from approx. 150 cm | Scale approx. 63–65 cm |
Included in the Set: Classic Cantabile Accessory Set (5-piece)!
Guitar Bag with Backpack Straps
To transport the guitar, the set includes a backpack-style bag with a music pocket and enough storage space for music books.
Guitar Method
"Every beginning is easy" - that also applies to the new guitar method by Michael Schwager. With entertaining exercises, notes, rhythms and chords are explained clearly. Whether steel-string or classical guitar - beginners will enjoy learning here!
Tuning Whistle, Picks & Strings
In addition to the bag and guitar method, the set also includes a 6-tone tuning whistle, three picks, and a set of guitar strings.
