Handwired Tubescreamer in the New Version!
At Ibanez they set out to evolve the iconic Tube Screamer by rethinking the handwired flagship model. They re-evaluated every component while trying to stay true to the pedal's transparent, mid-focused tone.
After numerous prototypes they concluded that the JRC NJM4558 op-amp is essential to achieve the Tube Screamer's legendary sound. At the same time, this new design can deliver a wider range of tones thanks to the use of high-end components like MOGAMI OFC cables, which further amplify the benefits of a handwired pedal. Additionally, the circuit's output stage has been fitted with a boost that raises the maximum output level by +6 dB. The appearance has also been revised to give the pedal a premium look while retaining the traditional shape.
