The Katana in Your Pocket!
Compact, handy, and packed with sounds – KATANA:GO is the perfect companion for spontaneous jams with your guitar or bass. The powerful headphone amp delivers the authentic tones of the Katana stage amps at your instrument's output, combined with wireless music streaming, tone editing, and learning tools on your smartphone. Modern spatial-audio technology creates an immersive 3D playing experience. At the same time, BOSS Tone Exchange gives you access to a limitless sound library so you can try any style. Whether you're an ambitious hobbyist or an experienced pro, KATANA:GO helps you find fresh inspiration everywhere.
Play Anywhere, No Hassles
KATANA:GO delivers high-quality sound anywhere, anytime—no external amps, pedals, or computer interfaces needed. Just plug in, connect your in-ears or headphones, call up a preset, and you're ready to play. On the unit you can adjust volume, select memory slots, and perform basic functions. The built-in display shows the current preset and the tuner. The rechargeable battery lets you play for up to five hours straight. The integrated 6.3 mm jack folds away so you can slip the KATANA:GO into any pocket and take it everywhere.
Authentic Katana Sound
With KATANA:GO you give your sessions the original sounds of the famous Katana stage amps. The guitar mode offers ten distinct amp types, including Clean, Crunch, the BOSS High-Gain Brown, two models for electro-acoustic guitars, and more. The bass mode includes Vintage, Modern, and Flat types taken straight from the Katana bass amps. Both modes feature a huge collection of BOSS effects that you can customize extensively in the BOSS Tone Studio app for iOS and Android.
Immersive Live Sound
The KATANA:GO's innovative Stage Feel feature delivers an immersive playing experience based on advanced BOSS spatial-audio technology. Using presets you can place the amp and the backing in different positions within the sound field. That way you get the feeling of playing with a backline on stage or jamming with friends in a room. With the intuitive tools in BOSS Tone Studio you can even fine-tune the sound-field placement to suit your preferences.
Limitless Inspiration
The guitar and bass modes in KATANA:GO each offer 30 memory slots preloaded with ready-to-play presets. In BOSS Tone Studio you can tweak presets, create entirely new sounds, or import tone-setting presets from the larger Katana guitar and bass amps. Plus, the app gives you access to BOSS Tone Exchange where you can download professionally assembled live sets and share your sounds with the worldwide BOSS community.
Jamming, Practicing, and Learning
With KATANA:GO and your smartphone you have a mobile all-in-one solution for daily practice. Jam along to a few songs from your music library to warm up. Then use the powerful session function in BOSS Tone Studio to work on your skills with YouTube lesson videos. Create song lists and focus on individual parts with loop sections. By setting timestamps you can even make KATANA:GO switch presets automatically during playback of YouTube backing tracks so you can concentrate fully on your playing.
Recording and Streaming
KATANA:GO is versatile and also functions as a USB audio interface for music production and creating online content on a computer or mobile device. Record professional Katana sounds in your DAW. Or connect to your favorite social media and video apps to share your fretboard skills with the world. In both use cases the Stage Feel feature is available, letting you give your instrument and the Bluetooth-streamed backing track more space and depth.
Wireless Foot Control
With the optional EV-1-WL wireless MIDI expression pedal and the FS-1-WL wireless footswitch you can wirelessly control functions you previously assigned in BOSS Tone Studio. Expand your KATANA:GO experience and control volume and wah, step through patches, activate effects and more—all completely wireless.
The latest KATANA:GO product offers the same sounds and features as the previous model!
