The AKG K702 is an open-back studio headphone with circumaural ear pads. It delivers a neutral, analytical sound. Its excellent detail resolution enables a confident evaluation of your production.
The K702's specially designed diaphragms are thicker in the center than at the thin edge (AKG's patented Varimotion technology). Compared with conventional diaphragms, this improves vibration characteristics and yields a very precise impulse response. The stereo image allows precise localization and an absolutely natural sense of space and depth. The bass tuning is linear and neutral.
The open housing is fully permeable to the outside. As a result, the sound character corresponds more closely to natural listening habits. Other advantages of the open design include better heat dissipation and the ability to perceive ambient sounds. High-quality ear pads that fully enclose the ear provide comfortable wear and can be replaced if necessary. The leather headband automatically adjusts to head size. The cable features a mini-XLR connector and is detachable.
