The Klowra Hane AutoWah/Envelope Filter Pedal combines a responsive envelope filter with rhythmic LFO modulation, merging both technologies into a compact digital effect pedal. The highly sensitive envelope follower tracks like classic analog hardware and responds instantly to your picking dynamics. That creates expressive auto-wah tones, funky filter effects, synth-like sweeps and deep, punchy filter movements that adapt dynamically to your playing. Three operating modes, Low-Pass, Band-Pass and High-Pass filters, plus controls for frequency, resonance, drive and modulation speed give flexible tone shaping for guitar and bass.

Envelope, LFO and Dual Modulation

Three modes define the Hane’s basic behavior. In Envelope mode the filter movement is driven by the input signal and your attack dynamics. Hard attacks produce intense, wide sweeps while gentle playing yields subtler tonal shifts. In LFO mode an internal Low Frequency Oscillator takes over and generates steady, cyclical filter movement. The combined LFO + Envelope mode blends both modulation sources to create complex, interactive filter trajectories.

Three Filter Types for Different Tonal Colors

The filter selector offers Low Pass, Band Pass and High Pass. Low Pass emphasizes the low end and is perfect for powerful bass sweeps and synth-style sounds. Band Pass focuses the effect on the midrange and produces classic vocal wah and funk tones. High Pass highlights the upper frequencies for bright, punchy filter motion. You can also use up- and down-sweeps to match the filter direction to the sound you want.

Precise Control Over Frequency and Resonance

FREQ sets the central position of the filter frequency range, while RES adjusts the intensity of the resonance peak. DRIVE controls input sensitivity and therefore how strongly the pedal reacts to your signal. Especially in Envelope mode, this lets you tailor the response precisely to instrument, output level and playing style. RATE governs modulation speed in LFO and LFO-plus-Envelope modes. In pure Envelope mode the same knob controls the attack time of the filter response.

Tap Tempo and Dynamic Modulation Speed

In LFO mode Tap Tempo allows you to rhythmically sync the cyclical filter movement, so auto-wah and filter sweeps lock perfectly to the song tempo. Additionally, playing dynamics can influence modulation speed: stronger attacks produce faster responses and create lively, breathing filter motion. That makes the Hane equally suited for tight rhythmic grooves and free, expressive filter effects.

WildSeed DSP and Flexible Pedalboard Integration

The Klowra Hane is built on the WildSeed Engine and runs with 24-bit AD/DA conversion and 32-bit floating-point DSP at a 44.1 kHz sample rate. You can choose between True Bypass and Buffered Bypass to integrate the pedal flexibly into different signal chains. Soft-touch relay switching supports quiet, comfortable switching. An external momentary footswitch input provides additional control options. Firmware updates are available via USB-C.
