With the immense possibilities of the RC-600 at your feet, you can easily execute even the most complex and demanding loop performances. Use the six tracks in series or parallel for different musical elements. The modern audio engine ensures that each layer blends in crystal-clear sound quality. Edit sounds during and after recording with a vast effect palette, including time-based effects that automatically sync with loops and built-in rhythms. You also have full control over your loops and sounds via the nine footswitches at any time. Additionally, you can use the three pedal modes to recall different assignments with just one tap. Need more? The versatile external control options of the RC-600 leave nothing to be desired.
Individual Control
The RC-600 can be tailored in detail to your individual workflow. Through the footswitches and pedal modes, you can control a wide range of assignable CTL parameters – from track, effect, and rhythm functions to tap tempo and more. In certain situations, you can even control multiple functions with a single footswitch by tapping once or twice or holding it down. There are also two control inputs for connecting external footswitches or expression pedals – each with fixed assigned parameters. Up to 16 different functions can be assigned for external hardware and MIDI control. Furthermore, the seven display modes for the screen provide real-time visual feedback on what’s happening in your looper at any moment.
Powerful Effects for Inspiring Performances
With a total of 49 input and 53 track effects, you can make your RC-600 performances especially expressive and interesting. The range includes versatile effects from the vast BOSS effect library, a guitar-to-bass simulator, and powerful vocal effects. Track effects include cool DJ effects like Beat Scatter, Vinyl Flick, and more. You can use four input and track effects simultaneously and save them as groups of four per section in banks for quick recall. The associated switches can be set to toggle or momentary mode.
Connect and Mix
With its versatile connectivity, the RC-600 suits every loop-based performance style. It offers two XLR microphone inputs with phantom power, two mono/stereo input pairs for guitars, keyboards, drum machines, and various audio devices, plus an input mixer with two microphone compressors and individual channel EQs. On the output side, there are three stereo output pairs, a headphone output, and an output mixer including assignable routing options, a master reverb, and compressor. Additionally, you can use the audio inputs and outputs to integrate external effects and process one or more loops. Via the USB port, you can integrate your computer DAW and import/export WAV loops through the BOSS Tone Studio and import patterns via the RC Rhythm Converter.
Dynamics and Groove
The RC-600 offers a wide selection of organic rhythms with dynamic real-time functions. Over 200 patterns cover various styles – from rock, pop, and acoustic to Latin, jazz, and electronic – each with four variations for fresh, interesting results. You’ll also find intros and outros as well as automatic fills for seamless transitions between your loop sections. Don’t find what you need? With the specially developed RC Rhythm Converter software, you can create your own SMF rhythms and import them via USB. The 16 kits cover every kind of groove – from light percussion and brush sounds to heavy rock and electronic dance sounds.
Creative Details
The RC-600 offers numerous new details for creative looping, inspired by long-time and experienced loop station users. You’ll find three different overdub modes, including one that lets you replace the current sound of a loop track during playback. There’s also a new bounce-in function to combine multiple tracks into a new track. The undo/redo function has been expanded and now includes a mark-back feature that lets you jump immediately to a loop state you’ve set. Besides half and double playback speed, you can adjust the overall speed – with or without pitch correction as needed. Furthermore, you can assign the auto-rec function to a footswitch for quick and easy activation.
