Stereo Reverb with Extended Modes, Modulation, and Sample Rate Control!
The Slöer Stereo Ambient Reverb builds on the popular Slö series and expands it with two additional reverb algorithms, adjustable stereo width, two new modulation types, and the ability to control the sample rate. This lets you craft immersive, modulated, dreamy, and ambient soundscapes with even more depth and space.
Favorite soundscapes can be easily saved to three memory slots: hold down the Bypass and Sustain switches simultaneously. Switch between presets by briefly pressing and releasing both buttons at the same time.
The 5-position rotary knob gives access to five reverb modes – three familiar from the classic Slö: Dark (lower octave), Rise (ambient swells), Dream (latch-pad mode), plus two new modes: Rain (delay tap diffusion) and Light (shimmer reverb with high octave). Additional secondary functions of the knob allow selecting five different modulation shapes for the reverb tail.
Combine deep modulation, long-decaying reverb tails, and a wide stereo field – for an especially intense sonic experience with the Slöer.
Dark
Add a lower octave to your reverb tails. Here you can create deep and wide atmospheric sounds and conjure nightmarish soundscapes. The X control sets the level of a -1 octave signal fed into the reverb.
Rise
This is an auto-swell reverb for beautiful cinematic swells. Don’t rush it. Let it breathe and gently awaken. The X control determines how long it takes for the reverb to swell after striking a note. Set it lower for shorter rise times and higher for longer rise times.
Dream
Lush reverb with a latching pad function. Press the Sustain switch to hold the signal. Experiment with the X control to add vibrato to the pad. Press Sustain again, and the pad will decay according to the Decay knob setting. The X control sets the depth of the vibrato applied to the reverb tail.
Rain
This program creates a unique effect with lower diffusion, where the delay taps of the reverb are audible and produce an echo effect within the reverb. Use the X control to adjust the diffusion of the delay taps.
Light
Bright and soft reverb with an octave shimmer. Use the X slider to create a range of ethereal sounds. Keep it low for a soft, pad-like reverb or push it higher for a bright shimmer effect.
Wave Shapes
The Slöer also offers five different wave shapes accessible by holding down the Bypass button while switching the algorithm knob.
- SINE - Smooth and even pitch modulation up and down.
- WARP - Asymmetric pitch modulation upwards, similar to a warped record.
- SINK - Asymmetric pitch modulation downwards for sinking detunes, similar to a Bigsby.
- SQUARE - Symmetric pitch modulation up and down for stepped modulation.
- RANDOM - Uses sample-and-hold to select new random values.
