The Klowra Leap Polyphonic Octave Pedal combines precise polyphonic octave tracking with a versatile Freeze function, multi-phase detuning and a flexible filter section. The low-latency digital engine handles single notes as cleanly as complex chords, delivering natural octaver sounds for guitar, bass and other instruments. Separate controls for the dry signal, the upper octave and the lower octave let you blend the three signal layers exactly how you want. That gives you everything from bright 12-string simulations and punchy bass emulations to organic organ, synth and ambient textures.

Mix Three Signals Individually

Use +OCT to control the level of the upper octave while -OCT sets the level of the lower octave. DRY independently controls your unprocessed instrument signal. These three separate level knobs let you dial in classic octaver tones as precisely as layered synth and organ-style textures. The optimized signal path preserves your instrument’s frequency range and enables clean polyphonic tracking without unwanted artifacts.

Freeze for Atmospheric Pads

The built-in Freeze function holds played notes or chords and turns them into a continuous harmonic bed. While the frozen signal sustains, you can play new lines and chords over it. This creates wide ambient pads, atmospheric transitions and multilayered soundscapes. The Freeze can also be triggered via an external momentary footswitch, making it ideal for flexible use on larger pedalboards.

Multi-Phase Detune With Three Intensities

The DETUNE switch gives you three modes: Clean, Shallow and Deep. Clean provides a clear octave sound without added detune. Shallow adds a subtle drifting motion, while Deep produces especially wide, dense and orchestral textures. The multi-phase detune technology expands the synthesized octaves with chorus-like movement, giving them an organic, lively character.

Three Filter Modes for Targeted Tone Shaping

The TONE control acts as a Low Pass, Tilt EQ or High Pass depending on the selected mode. In Low Pass mode only the upper octave is filtered, allowing you to tame aggressive highs and create warmer octave-up sounds. In High Pass mode the filter affects only the lower octave to reduce problematic low frequencies. The Tilt EQ influences Dry, +OCT and -OCT together: its shelving filters are centered at 1,200 Hz and let you quickly balance a brighter or warmer overall tone.

Professional Digital Signal Processing

The Leap runs on Klowra's WildSeed Engine with 24-bit AD/DA conversion and 32-bit floating-point DSP at a 44.1 kHz sample rate. You can switch between True Bypass and Buffered Bypass so the pedal adapts to different signal chains. Soft-touch relay switching ensures comfortable operation, while the CTRL input supports an external momentary footswitch for the Freeze function. Firmware updates are available via USB-C.
