This next-generation Compact Pedal uses the unmatched COSM modeling technology to turn any electric guitar into a variety of acoustic guitars.

Advanced Modeling

For the first time, BOSS brings its advanced COSM modeling technology to a Compact Pedal. The AC-3 is based on BOSS' flagship AD-8 and can reproduce the characteristic sound of an acoustic guitar with astonishing accuracy thanks to the latest simulation technology.

Four simulation modes are available: Standard, Jumbo, Enhanced and Piezo-equipped — the latter simulates the typical percussive piezo direct sound. While the predecessor AC-2 still used analog technology, the AC-3 raises the bar considerably with its highly developed digital circuitry.

Refinements

Top and Body knobs let you fine-tune the characteristics of the four acoustic models. Dial in the perfect acoustic guitar sound with just a few knob turns.

Reverb Included

Add depth and space to your tone with the built-in digital reverb. It's like having two pedals in one!

Versatile Output Signal Paths

Two different outputs let you connect the AC-3 to a standard guitar amplifier and/or directly to devices such as recorders, PA systems, or acoustic guitar amplifiers (e.g., Roland AC-60).
