Revolutionary Stereo Delay With Layer Technology!

The Ibanez Layer Delayer is an innovative delay effect pedal for guitar, bass, keyboards and studio use. At its core is a unique layer-delay concept that generates 16th-note and triplet delay signals in parallel. Each of these delay signals has its own volume control and can be independently boosted by up to 3 dB. That creates complex rhythmic structures, modern grooves and vivid sonic textures that go far beyond classic delay effects.

Versatile Delay Types And Tonal Characters

With the TONE control you seamlessly switch between Digital Delay, Analog Delay and Tape Echo. The transitions are intentionally smooth and allow organic tonal shaping from clear and precise to warm, gritty and vintage-oriented. This versatility makes the Layer Delayer a powerful tool for modern sound design and traditional effect applications alike.

Characterful Ladder Filter

The built-in FILTER effect emulates a classic low-pass ladder filter, famed from legendary Moog synthesizers. Using CUTOFF and RESONANCE you can shape the sound from subtly filtered to aggressive and edgy. At low resonance the filter behaves like a classic low-pass, while higher settings produce the distinctive, punchy character.

Tail Decay And True Bypass Behavior

The tail-decay function controls how long the delay signal rings on after you turn the effect off. A setting of 0 yields true bypass behavior, while high values between 90 and 100 create long, floating delay tails. Ideal for ambient sounds, atmospheric pads and dynamic song transitions.

Stereo Auto-Panning And Routing

With stereo In and stereo Out, the Layer Delayer supports eight different auto-panning modes, including left-right, right-left and classic ping-pong panning. Sweep width and speed are adjustable to add motion and depth to the stereo image. In addition, the integrated FX loop lets you insert external effects directly into the delay signal path.

MIDI, Presets And Software Support

All parameters can be conveniently controlled via MIDI, including synchronization via MIDI clock. There are 50 preset memory slots in total, 20 of which are factory presets. Via the Layer Delayer app and firmware updates from Ibanez.com the pedal stays technically up to date.
