Inspired by the First Digital Delays of the 70s!
Inspired by the first digital delay rack units that hit the market in the mid to late 70s at the dawn of the "digital audio revolution." Compared to today’s digital delay standards, these units had lower bit resolution and bandwidth.
TI:ME is not your typical sterile and ultra-clean digital delay. With separate analog and digital paths to combine the best of both worlds, this retro-inspired echo effect will make your sound warmer. A fully analog signal path with a high-quality operational amplifier ensures the best reproduction of your dry signal. Two digital recorders with carefully tuned filters, running parallel to the dry signal path, deliver the most ambient delay you’ve ever heard. Think of a Model 113 rack unit: the repeats are truly musical and reminiscent of worn tape echoes.
Each TI:ME unit is hand-painted and a unique piece with its distinctive copper elements!
Features
- m/sec: Here you can set the delay time from 130 ms to 720 ms. At longer delay times, the delayed signal is slightly dampened
- Mix: Controls how much of the delayed signal you hear
- Feed: Adjusts the number of repeats. Turning it all the way up causes the pedal to oscillate
- Tone: Brighten or darken the delay repeats
- Mod: Sets the speed/intensity of the delay trail modulation:
- Turn the knob all the way left to turn off the effect. Turning it right makes the modulation sound like a motor at low settings and faster, more intense like a gentle vibrato at higher settings
- Modulation rate and intensity depend on the delay time (m/sec) settings; modulation is less pronounced at minimal delay times - Bypass Footswitch: Turns the effect on or off
- An internal switch lets you choose between True Bypass (relay) or buffered bypass with delay trails. Unscrew the bottom plate and find the small slide switch near the output jack. Use a small screwdriver to set it to "T" for True Bypass or "B" for buffered bypass with delay trails
- In bypass mode, avoid setting the Feed knob to maximum, as oscillation will continue in bypass mode - Tap/Hold Footswitch:
- Sets the time between repeats according to the tapped tempo. The last two taps are stored to achieve the desired tempo. Tap tempo ranges from 130 ms up to one full second
- The division toggle switch lets you select the tapped tempo function between quarter notes, dotted eighths, and triplets. If the tapped tempo is out of range for any division setting, the previous tapping is retained
- Hold down the tap footswitch to maximize feedback and create a delay oscillation. Release the footswitch to return to normal operation. - Power Supply: External 9-12 V DC power supply (- center, + ring). Maximum current consumption 84 mA at 9 V DC
