Boss presents the DD-8, the most versatile and feature-rich BOSS compact delay to date. The DD-8 pedal simply offers more of everything – more diverse sounds, longer delay time, more control options, and more connection possibilities. All this fits into the standard BOSS pedal format, which integrates seamlessly into any mono or stereo setup.

Eleven modes are available with delay tones ranging from classic to exotic, plus a looper with unlimited overdub capacity. Additionally, the DD-8 can be controlled externally via switches and pedals if needed. Looking for maximum versatility with minimal space? Then the DD-8 Digital Delay is your go-to.

Incredibly Versatile

With its varied delay selection, the DD-8 combines an impressive sonic range in a compact pedal. Available are clean digital delays, analog vintage and tape variants, modulated echoes, and special delays like shimmer and reverse.

The new Warm type produces smooth echoes, while the +RV variant combines delay with reverb. Warp is ideal for dynamic ambient textures, and the also new GLT is perfect for rhythmic glitch effects.

Stereo to the Max

Everything sounds bigger and better in stereo. The DD-8 features true stereo inputs and outputs plus three selectable output modes. In the default setting, delays (normal delays on output A and long delays with double delay time on output B) play independently. Additionally, there’s a panning mode for ping-pong effects and a wide stereo mode for enhanced spatial depth.

Expressive

The extensive real-time delay options of the DD-8 bring your music to life. Tap your tempo via the built-in pedal switch and control the Warp and GLT modes for especially expressive effects. Adding one or two footswitches to the DD-8 unlocks additional creative options, including recallable tap tempo changes, extended looper control, and a cool twist effect for swelling echo sounds.
Alternatively, you can connect an expression pedal to control parameters like level, feedback, and delay time individually or simultaneously.

Built-In Looper

A looper is a handy helper on your pedalboard—whether for practicing, testing sounds during gigs, or quickly creating backing tracks. The DD-8’s integrated looper mode lets you do all this without wasting valuable pedalboard space.

All looper functions can be conveniently controlled via the switch on the interface. If you prefer external controls, you can also connect one or two footswitches to externally operate the looper’s stop and erase functions.

Smart Inputs/Outputs for Easy Setups

The DD-8’s smart input and output jacks detect how you connect your cables. This lets you quickly and easily adapt your pedal to different applications and setups. The DD-8 supports a variety of mono and stereo connections, including separate output of dry and effect signals for wet/dry setups. You can even completely disable the dry signal to integrate the pure delay signal into a parallel effects loop.

• Warp - Unique delay with expressive pedal control. Holding down the pedal switch increases feedback and volume, creating swelling ambient effects
• GLT - Newly developed delay mode for glitchy machine-gun effects. While holding the switch, use the feedback and delay-time knobs to create a variety of different sounds
• Loop - Loop recorder with overdubs and up to 40 seconds recording time via the mono input (20 seconds in stereo configurations)
