The Legendary Digital Delay - Evolved for Modern Musicians!
The legendary BOSS DD-3 Digital Delay has been a staple on countless pedalboards since 1986 thanks to its fantastic sound and simple operation. The DD-3T brings this classic stompbox into the modern era, combining the original sound quality and usability with significantly expanded functionality.
From now on, you can tap the delay tempo both via the built-in pedal switch and an external footswitch, choosing from three note subdivisions. Additionally, the direct output now sits right next to the main output, offering more wiring convenience for wet/dry setups.
A Classic Through and Through
The DD-3 has been continuously produced for over three decades and serves countless musicians as the ultimate stompbox delay. Based on the DD-2 – the world’s first digital delay pedal from 1983 – the DD-3 is especially valued for its warm, rounded delay sound and easy operation, allowing you to craft sounds in no time.
The DD-3T features the same circuit design and identical control layout as the DD-3, faithfully reproducing the classic vibe of the original down to the last detail.

Integrated Tap Tempo
A key enhancement of the DD-3T is the tap tempo function, which lets you create rhythmic delay effects that form the foundation of many guitar styles. By holding the pedal switch for two seconds in delay mode, you toggle between bypass and tap control. To always have access to tap input, simply connect an external footswitch.
Once the DD-3T registers a tap input, delay times up to 800 ms become available. You can also select the note subdivision (quarter triplets, dotted eighths, or quarters) via the mode knob.
Direct Output for Wet/Dry Setups
Like the DD-3, the DD-3T features a direct output now located right next to the main output, making wiring in different setups more convenient. Plugging a cable into the direct output causes the main output to send only the delay effect signal.
This way, you can send wet and dry signals to different amplifiers to create immersive sounds with enormous stereo width. If your amplifier or switcher has a parallel effects loop, just plug a dummy plug into the direct output to mute the dry sound and use only the effect signal.

From Hold to Short Loop
The original DD-3 (and its predecessor DD-2) offered a groundbreaking hold function that allowed a sound to be held and continuously repeated for up to 800 ms to improvise over it. Many years later, BOSS developed this creative concept further in the Loop Stations, laying the foundation for the new musical style "Live Looping."
The DD-3T also features the hold function of the DD-3. In line with today’s common usage, however, we have chosen a new name: Short Loop.
Instrument Cable
The Stage INST cables are professional guitar/instrument cables with high-quality jack connectors and gold-plated tips. This ensures low conductor capacitance and excellent audio transmission.
