With the 200 series, BOSS introduces a new, compact pedal generation that impresses with premium sound, extraordinary versatility, and minimal pedalboard footprint. Thanks to intuitive knobs and multifunction switches, operation is straightforward and natural. Additional convenience comes from internal memory slots, allowing you to instantly recall your own setups whenever needed.

The high audio quality of the 200 series pedals is based on 32-bit AD/DA conversion, 32-bit internal signal processing, and a 96 kHz sampling rate. Furthermore, you can optionally control the pedals via external switches, an expression pedal, or MIDI.

The DD-200 Digital Delay offers the sounds and features of the flagship DD-500 in an even more compact pedal. The twelve built-in modes provide an inspiring variety of tones ranging from classic analog to modern digital, delivering a wide range of delay types—from simple echo to complex ambient pads.

Additionally, the DD-200 features a ready-to-use looper with an activatable carryover function for seamless transitions between two memory slots.

Twelve Modes, Unlimited Sound Variety

The twelve available modes of the surprisingly compact DD-200 give you nearly every delay tone imaginable. The selection includes super-clean digital delays, gritty analog echoes, and legendary retro sounds from the Roland RE-201 Space Echo and the Binson Echorec 2.

You can also create reverse effects, lo-fi sounds, or pulsating rhythmic sounds with layered delays. Thanks to the Tera Echo, Shimmer, and Pad Echo modes, immersive ambient textures are just a knob turn away.

Fast Tweaking

The DD-200 features a clean interface that lets you quickly and easily craft inspiring sounds even in hectic moments. The basic delay parameters are assigned to dedicated knobs for direct access.
Depending on the selected mode, the PARAM knob changes its function. This way, you gain extended control over your sounds without diving deep into menus.

Save and Recall Setup Favorites

The DD-200 includes four memory slots where you can store your favorite setups and recall them during your performance. The Manual setting provides a fifth setup that reflects the current settings on the interface.

You can scroll through stored setups using a footswitch on the DD-200. For even faster access, you can limit the selection to specific memory slots or assign a single setup for direct recall. The selectable carryover function ensures smooth, seamless transitions by letting the current delay fade out naturally during setup changes.

Deep Real-Time Control

By default, the multifunction footswitches on the DD-200 provide access to essential delay functions like bypass, memory slot selection, tap tempo, and the looper. You can easily reassign the footswitches to other parameters such as hold or warp as needed.

Moreover, you can control the DD-200 via externally connected footswitches, an expression pedal, or MIDI through the mini-jack port. With MIDI, you can chain multiple 200-series pedals and switch memory slots simultaneously on all pedals. External MIDI devices like the ES-8 and ES-5 effect switchers offer even more possibilities.

Always Ready: The Looper

By pressing both footswitches simultaneously, you instantly enter looper mode. You get up to 60 seconds of mono recording time. Operation is simple and intuitive via the controls on the interface. Since the looper processor runs independently from the rest, you can use any DD-200 delay sound to create expressive loops.

New Boss 200 Series V1.1 Update - Expanded User Memory Slots

The free version 1.1 software update makes the BOSS 200 series even more flexible and greatly expands the internal capacity for storing and recalling sounds. The number of user memory slots has been increased to 128 (including Manual mode). Additionally, memory slots can be recalled directly via external MIDI program change commands.
