The Tone Makes the Music...

and that only works with fundamentally solid materials: the Sapele body gives your instrument its characteristic warm core tone. The spruce top provides brilliance and a clearly defined attack. The neck is made from Nato with a Blackwood fingerboard fitted with 21 precisely installed frets. This combination produces a pleasantly warm tone with very good sustain and a responsive attack. The binding along the body, soundhole and fingerboard gives the bass its attractive appearance.

Hardware: Functional, Solid and Durable

From the smooth, precisely adjustable tuning machines to the securely mounted jack socket: the hardware impresses across the board. You adjust the neck relief with the strings under tension. The neck adjustment screw is located beneath the top edge of the soundhole.

The AB-450 also features a preamp with a 3-band equalizer. It delivers a powerful, clear sound and is easy to use thanks to detented mid controls on the knobs. The piezo pickup is integrated into the bridge and performs cleanly with very low feedback.
