The NUX Stageman II AC80 is the updated version of NUX’s popular 80-watt acoustic amp. With this amp, NUX’s development team pursued one uncompromising goal: to create an amp that faithfully reproduces the sound of a miked acoustic guitar while offering maximum versatility in tone and application options. The amplifier delivers up to 80 watts of power, and thanks to a rechargeable battery, it guarantees 4 hours of playtime without being plugged into mains power.

Moving Sound Experience

The Stageman II was designed for clear, rich, and dynamic sound reproduction and features a 6.5-inch speaker paired with a 1-inch tweeter. This combination delivers a natural and inspiring playing feel, suitable for both live and studio use.

The AC-80 offers two independent channels: the first is designed for acoustic guitars (instrument jack input), and the second is optimized for vocals (XLR/jack combo microphone input).

This is the ideal setup for solo performers. Each channel has a volume control, a 3-band EQ (bass, mid, treble), an addable reverb effect, and a control to blend in effects (a wide range of effects can be configured via smartphone app). Beyond a broad effects section, the Stageman II offers many thoughtful presets, loops, and handy features that make a musician’s daily routine easier. On the first channel, the amp’s basic sound can be quickly optimized for band/duo setups, fingerpicking, or strumming via a three-position selector switch. On the second channel, a phase switch helps avoid feedback when both inputs are used.

Unique Flexibility

In terms of connectivity, the AC-80 is equipped with numerous modern inputs: it has a mini-jack AUX input to integrate external sound sources, playbacks, or jam tracks. The signal can be fed to a mixing console or sound system via a line-out jack and an XLR DI out.

The amplifier also features an effects loop to easily integrate effect pedals into your setup. Additionally, two footswitch inputs and the included NMP-2 footswitch allow effortless control of effects as well as the drum machine/looper.

The smartphone app unlocks the amp’s full potential. The Stageman II AC-80 offers far more sounds than a conventional acoustic amplifier. Via its Bluetooth® connection, jam tracks or playbacks can be streamed wirelessly in high quality to the amp. The free smartphone app (for Android and Apple iOS) unleashes immense additional tonal possibilities. The app includes numerous effects, impulse responses (IRs), drum beats, and looper functions that can be managed in real time. Through the mobile app, you can access eight IRs of famous acoustic guitars, simulating their legendary sounds on your own guitar track.

The Stageman II with Intuitive Drum Machine and Foot Controller

The effects section offers dozens of sounds that are configurable down to the last detail, and their order/routing can be easily changed via the app. Like the Mighty series and the Stageman AC-50, this amp also features an intuitive drum machine with beats from a wide range of musical styles, allowing you to create loops up to 60 seconds long. The NMP-2 foot controller included with the Stageman II lets you activate or deactivate effects on channel 1 by foot or control the looper and drum machine functions.
