Advantages of Digital Displays
Displaying texts and chords on monitors offers several benefits: multiple displays can be controlled by one person, ideally synchronized with existing MIDI files and samples. Plus, the annoying and time-consuming flipping through text folders is eliminated. Anyone who has had to bridge that long, awkward silence during spontaneous changes in the setlist knows exactly what we mean. Last but not least, displays are always very easy to read—even under the worst lighting conditions.
Mounting the Adapter
The adapter features a classic 3/8" thread on its underside, allowing it to fit any standard microphone stand. The counterpart—the hole plate—is screwed onto the back of the screen and remains there. A simple yet sturdy prism connection makes the whole setup an unbeatable unit. All monitors with a VESA hole pattern of 100 x 100 mm or 75 x 75 mm are suitable for this purpose.
Does It Work with Every Microphone Stand?
In principle, yes, but use on a straight tripod stand is recommended. Depending on the screen’s weight, mounting on a microphone boom arm or even a gooseneck may not provide the desired stability. Using a stand with a round base is basically possible, but due to the relatively small footprint and the overall high center of gravity, this option tends to be less stable.
