About the Author
Michael was born on April 2, 1964, in Munich and at just 4 years old tried to play all the children’s songs he knew by ear on his toy piano. At 10, he picked up the guitar, and at 15 the drums, which he says "saved his life" during puberty, and it went on from there... Rock, pop, and jazz singing, electric bass, electric guitar, piano, and various percussion instruments. The joy he felt for music as a child continues to this day, and over time the father of three sons became increasingly aware of his talent for teaching children. The multi-instrumentalist has successfully led the private music school "Die Blechtrommel," which he founded in Eurasburg near Wolfratshausen, since 1992 with over 120 students, teaches at Drummers Focus in Munich, and can be heard live worldwide and on various recordings as a drummer and singer.
