First of all, as a piano and guitar student, I’m glad that books like this exist.
The prices are also really reasonable for collections that sometimes include more than 10 songs—songs you can accompany on guitar, piano, and with your own vocals with plenty of practice.
However, I massively underestimated the difficulty level.
So this isn’t really for beginners—to learn and play these pieces with true technical precision, you need some skills.
I’ve been at it for 1 1/2 months now, and my skills aren’t up to par yet. Not yet, anyway.
Still, I’m glad I bought this book and others, and I’m going to practice, practice, practice!
The only real drawback I’ve found is that without music clips, it’s a struggle to prop up these Hal Leonard books properly without them closing on their own. It really puts a strain on your back.
Still, five stars. I’m very satisfied with the product for the price.
