The YAS/YTS-280 saxophones deliver a perfect start, as they were specifically designed for young beginners. They are relatively lightweight and feature an especially ergonomic shape, making them easy to hold and play.

The YAS/YTS-280 saxophones build on the popular 275 series but offer several updates, such as a sturdier S-bow mount and a new low B–C# connection for more precise setup.

New Reinforced S-Bow Mount

The new S-bow mount improves tone, ensures quick response and delivers enhanced stability.

Improved Low B–C# Connection

The improved low B–C# connection with a longer lever supports closing the low C# key, improves response on the low notes and allows for more consistently precise adjustment.

Adjustable Thumb Rest

All Yamaha saxophones feature an adjustable thumb rest to set a comfortable hand position.

Tuner with Metronome

This versatile device is the perfect companion for virtually any instrument. Not only does the contact microphone and wide tuning range let you tune almost any instrument accurately, but the built-in metronome also keeps you in time. The calibratable tuner offers 5 tuning modes, a tone generator and a jack input for a contact microphone. The metronome provides a wide tempo range from 30 to 260 beats per minute, 9 time signatures and various rhythm subdivisions.

Saxophone Stand

The position of the middle rest can be adjusted to fit your instrument. All rests are, of course, softly padded and the metal parts are powder-coated. The robust construction and space-saving design make the AS-2009 a practical, long-lasting companion at home, in the rehearsal room or on stage!
