The New Twisted Flare Port Delivers Clear and Powerful Bass

The completely new Twisted Flare Port bass reflex opening is the result of Yamaha’s long-standing experience in developing acoustic technologies and excellent subwoofers. The fluted, slightly twisted shape dissolves air vortices at the edges of the opening and ensures a significantly smoother airflow. This reduces noises that do not belong to the original sound and guarantees precise and accurate reproduction. From cinema-ready special effects to the typical atmosphere of exciting live broadcasts – the innovative technology always delivers crisp, dry, and realistic bass playback.

PWM Digital Amplifier and Dual Feedback Circuit

The built-in amplifier provides a stable, efficient output power of 250 W – at the same time reducing power consumption and heat generation. Since no filter coils are needed, interference signals are drastically reduced. This results in a fast response from the subwoofer and thus a dynamic and fresh sound image.

Advanced YST II

Yamaha’s exclusive Advanced Active Servo Technology II (Advanced YST II) extracts extremely punchy and tight bass from small speaker enclosures. By utilizing negative impedance generation, Advanced YST II is the ideal method for combining amplifiers and subwoofers for maximum bass performance.

25 cm Cone Woofer with Square Wire Voice Coil

A 25 cm woofer is used for the front-firing configuration. The driver’s voice coil is wound with square wire, allowing for denser winding. As a result, higher magnetic force is generated. This creates strong driving power and enables powerful and deep bass reproduction.

The Attractive Design Matches a Wide Range of Speakers and Interiors

The subwoofer’s shape not only emphasizes the strength and stability of the bass (stable side panels) but also highlights its rounded front, fitting elegantly into any interior. The NS-SW200 is offered in Piano White, Piano Black, and Black finishes.

Front Control Panel Makes Operation Easy

The "Power" button and volume control are located on the front of the subwoofer. The control panel is slightly tilted at 45°, making the buttons easy to operate. Thanks to the LED light, it’s easy to see whether the subwoofer is on or off.

System Control and Auto Standby

The system control terminal can be connected to an amplifier so that both turn on and off automatically and simultaneously. The NS-SW200 also features an auto standby function, meaning if the subwoofer receives no signal from the amplifier, it automatically switches to standby mode. This helps reduce power consumption.
