The guitar was unfortunately not preset at all. The string action was too high which I first tried to get under control by adjusting the tremolo system. Unfortunately, I then found that intonation was not possible. The neck tension rod was totally loose and therefore no decent neck curvature was possible. I adjusted the neck curvature, string action, tremolo and corrected the intonation slightly. What can I say, all in all a great Stratocaster with great looks, great playability and great vintage sound. I would buy it again anytime. But I still have to deduct one star for the super bad preset. For a layman, the correction would not have been possible. But this problem is actually at the expense of Fender Mexico. A pre-shipment inspection would therefore be desirable.
