Since it was my first SG I had when deciding to buy basically Bedenke because of the "top-heaviness" of the SG models is often a problem. Extra weights or repositioning the strap pin would have been a NOGO for me. But this Gibson is damn well balanced. With a wide leather strap that is a bit rough on the inside, you don't have to hold the neck a bit with your gripping hand, the neck is where it should be. Clear buy recommendation.
