Three Cajons in One!

This finely crafted Pro Cajon from XDrum's "Peruana" series, with a 9 mm thick birch body, 2 front plates and 2 different snare effects, delivers (besides its impressive design) sounds of the highest caliber.

Size and Craftsmanship

The cajon with two front plates is built from a 7-ply birch body with a thickness of 9 mm. The precisely glued parts reveal a beautiful grain, and rounded corners and edges are not only visually pleasing but—above all—the ergonomic cutouts on both striking sides noticeably ease playing Tip, Slap and similar techniques. The Peruana design on the front plate underscores the instrument's connection to its South American roots. With a seating surface of approx. 31 x 30 cm and a height of approx. 50 cm, the cajon offers excellent comfort for sitting and playing.

Birch Side

The light front plate made of 3-ply birch delivers a powerful bass sound with a clearly audible snare. Thanks to a mechanism that's easy to operate from the outside, the snare effect—which is produced by two half-size, 20-coil snare mats—can simply be folded away and thus switched off. Played without the snare effect, the sound almost leans toward a conga.

Ash Side

The black-lacquered front plate made of ash produces a somewhat more subtle bass with an extremely sensitive snare response. To tailor the snare effect's intensity to your personal taste, the tension of the strings can be adjusted with the enclosed internal hex key. The key itself is stored inside the box, so it won't get lost.

Screwed Front Plates and Clap Corners

Because the front plates are fully screwed on, the Clap Corners can be finely adjusted with a screwdriver, enabling an incredible richness of tone.

Includes Bag

Included is a bag made from durable nylon material with 1 cm thick padding to optimally protect your cajon. A 37 x 19 cm outer pocket provides ample storage for sheet music, small shakers and other accessories. In addition to the classic carry handle on top, this gig bag even features a shoulder strap. That way you can take your cajon to its destination by bike, scooter or on foot—wherever you lay down the groove!
