Fender Designed Split-Coil VI Pickups

Two Fender Designed Alnico Split-Coil VI pickups deliver a punchy, well-defined sound with classic character. The pickups are voiced for a guitar-like response and retain a present, articulated note even in lower registers. The 4-position rotary switch lets you choose between bridge pickup, both pickups in phase, both pickups out of phase and neck pickup. This gives you compact, focused tones as well as wider, hollower or warmer sonic options. Master Volume and Master Tone keep the controls direct and intuitive.

Vibrato, Hardware and Details

The Mustang-style floating vibrato adds expressive shimmer, subtle pitch modulation and atmospheric effects. Vintage-style tuners support precise tuning, while the bound laurel fretboard with pearl block inlays offers a premium look and a comfortable playing feel. Narrow-tall frets and a 9.5" fretboard radius create modern, controllable playability for lines, chords and experimental voicings.
