The 4/4 Bb Tuba Hagen 495 from Miraphone gives tubists all the professional features of the "Hagen" series, but with a slightly smaller bore. Like its larger sisters, the Hagen 495 delivers impressive sound projection.
The ergonomic proportions of this tuba make it ideal for smaller symphony orchestras, ensembles, chamber music groups, brass bands, and school orchestras. Compared to tubas 86 and 87, the 495 offers a fuller low register and a clearer tone.
High-Quality Materials, Perfect Craftsmanship
The exposed leadpipe made of gold brass is corrosion-resistant and provides an optimal, easy response as well as a voluminous, clear, and centered tone. The Miraphone-Minibal pushrod convinces with professional features: nickel-plated nickel-silver, maintenance-free, manufactured in one piece, very stable, with a hardened, stainless mini ball. It also delivers increased stability and a smooth, low-noise, secure action. It offers maximum reliability under heavy use and a long service life.
The handcrafted bell has excellent acoustic properties and the characteristically traditional, warm, and full sound. Because Miraphone lacquer is applied 100% dust-free by hand and the finish can optimally cure through a modern baking process, the entire instrument is highly resistant to hand sweat and wear.
