The EDX-4 from Eurolite is a 4-channel dimmer for controlling the brightness of connected LED lamps. It can be operated via DMX signal from a lighting console. Menu settings are made through the integrated control unit with LED display. The housing allows for mounting on trusses.
Operation with QuickDMX Wireless Receiver
The device features an additional DMX input for a QuickDMX receiver (sold separately). This connection allows a DMX control signal to be transmitted wirelessly to the device. The port is designed as a USB socket, providing the required 5 V operating voltage for the receiver. Using the QuickDMX wireless system eliminates the complex cabling between the DMX lighting controller and the dimmer.
The EDX-4 can also be operated without an external DMX controller, provided that the DMX controller or QuickDMX receiver is not connected to the EDX-4.
Automatic Operation and Music Control
In "Auto" mode, 16 chase programs are available, running at an adjustable speed. In "Music" mode, the EDX-4 uses the built-in microphone to play the chase programs in sync with the music rhythm (with pronounced bass beats). The microphone sensitivity can be adjusted to the music volume in the submenu.
