Tascam CD-400UDAB - Media Player with Radio and Bluetooth Receiver!

The CD-400UDAB is a compact, remotely controllable media player in 19-inch format that can play tracks from CDs, USB storage devices, SD cards, and Bluetooth devices. In addition, it features a radio receiver for FM and DAB+ with 20 presets each, as well as a mini-jack input on the front panel to play music from portable players, for example. The radio receiver has its own output, allowing you to supply two rooms with different music signals simultaneously.

The device can be remotely controlled via the included infrared remote RC-CD400 or through the built-in serial RS-232C interface. The versatile CD-400UDAB is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as a player on tour or for background music in restaurants, small shops, or public facilities.

Playback of Files on CDs, USB Storage, and CF Card

The CD-400UDAB is ideal for fixed installations requiring a broad range of media and file formats for playback. It can play audio CDs as well as audio files in WAV, MP3, AAC, and WMA formats stored on data CDs, USB storage devices, or SD/SDHC cards. Playback modes (continuous, single, and random) can also be combined with repeat playback to suit various situations.

Audio Playback from Bluetooth Devices

You can also play audio files from Bluetooth devices like smartphones, tablets, and portable players. Once a device has been paired for the first time, the wireless connection can be quickly restored by simply pressing the pairing button. This makes playing audio files easy and hassle-free without cables or file format issues.

Input for Other Sources

Thanks to a stereo mini-jack input (AUX IN) on the front panel of the CD-400UDAB, you can also connect playback devices that do not have Bluetooth, such as portable music players.

FM/DAB Receiver for Your Favorite Radio Stations

The CD-400UDAB includes a radio receiver for FM and DAB+ with 20 program presets each. The receiver’s independent output allows simultaneous playback alongside other media, for example, to supply different rooms.

Copy from CD or Radio to USB Stick or SD Card

Audio CD content or radio signals can be copied to an SD/SDHC card or USB storage device. You only need the CD-400UDAB—no computer required! Simply press the DUB button and start playback to begin copying.

Jump to the Start of the Next Track with "Incremental Play"

When incremental play is enabled, you can jump to the start of the next track by pressing the PLAY button on the device or remote during playback. Pressing STOP during playback jumps to the start of the next track and pauses there. This is useful for presentations where tracks don’t need to be played to the end.

Balanced and Unbalanced Analog Outputs

Besides the usual unbalanced outputs via RCA jacks, the CD-400UDAB offers professional balanced XLR connectors. Due to their significantly better signal-to-noise ratio, balanced connections are essential when output signals are routed over longer distances, such as in fixed installations.

Remote Control via RS-232C and Telnet

This player features a serial RS-232C port for remote control by an external controller like a media control system. An optional Ethernet card (IF-E100) enables remote control over a network using the Telnet protocol.
