The Epiphone J-200 Studio EC is part of the brand-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars were completely redesigned to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic guitars inspired by the legendary Gibson designs. The J-200 Studio EC delivers a blend of classic styling and modern functionality, crafted to appeal equally to beginners and experienced players.

The Epiphone J-200 Studio EC acoustic guitar is an outstanding model known for its super-jumbo body and remarkable projection. Inspired by the legendary Gibson SJ-200, "The King of the Flat-Tops," this guitar features a cutaway for improved access to the upper frets. The J-200 Studio EC sports a multi-ply maple body with four-ply binding on the top, single-ply binding on the back, the fretboard and the headstock, and a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that improves with age.

The mahogany neck is glued to the body with a tapered dovetail joint and features a 1960s SlimTaper D profile for comfortable playability. The neck is fitted with a rosewood fretboard with 20 standard frets and decorated with pearloid graduated crown inlays. The strings terminate over a compensated plastic saddle and are anchored with ivory-colored bridge pins with black dots on the moustache rosewood bridge. The iconic moustache bridge is adorned with four pearloid inlays.

Epiphone also added other details that give the J-200 Studio EC extra vintage charm, including a classic J-200 tortoiseshell-style pickguard with the legendary two-tone J-200 graphics, Epiphone Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, and a bound '60s Kalamazoo headstock proudly inlaid with the Epiphone logo and Gibson crown in mother-of-pearl.

The J-200 Studio EC features Fishman electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys II preamp with side-mounted controls for volume, bass, treble and phase. It also includes a convenient built-in electronic tuner for quick, easy tuning. The Epiphone J-200 Studio EC sports a gloss finish and is available in two vintage-inspired colors: Antique Natural and Vintage Sunburst. A standard gigbag is also included.
