XDrum singing bowls are made in India through an elaborate process. While in the Himalayas they were mainly used as cooking and eating utensils, Buddhist monks discovered the singing bowls as meditation aids and gave them a whole new purpose.

Handmade Unique Pieces

XDrum singing bowls are crafted with elaborate and painstaking handwork from 7 materials. This alloy consists of the metals copper, zinc, iron, nickel, aluminum, silver, and gold. The exact composition can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. To achieve the final shape and individual sound, the alloy is hammered over a fire into the desired form. It is often heated and cooled up to 30 times during this process.

Unlike machine-made singing bowls, XDrum’s handcrafted models are unique one-offs. Some tolerance in diameter and weight of the bowl is normal and does not indicate any quality reduction.

Handling
