The 88 keys provide a certain "natural" resistance when pressed, like you’d expect from classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard is also velocity-sensitive, meaning notes sound louder or softer depending on how hard you press a key. Thanks to the adjustable settings ("Touch Response" = touch sensitivity) you can, for example, produce a relatively loud tone even with a gentle touch (setting "Soft"). This feature is often especially helpful for the youngest beginner pianists. To reliably protect the keyboard from dust, the DP-210 includes a key cover.
