The scaled hammer action with three sensors and 88 weighted keys, coated to emulate real grand piano ebony and ivory keys, gives the pianist the feel of an acoustic piano.

Tone Colors

The AP-270 features 22 built-in tone colors, each with distinct character. Among them are five concert grand piano voices — from modern and dynamic to warm and subtle. The AP-270 also lets you mix two voices so they can be played simultaneously or layered.

Duet Mode

With Duet Mode you can split the digital piano’s keyboard down the middle so two people can play a duet. In this mode the left and right sides of the keyboard have exactly the same range, making it ideal for piano lessons. You can even set the AP-270 so that when Duet is active the sound from the left keyboard section is output through the left speaker and the sound from the right section through the right speaker.

MIDI

You can connect the digital piano to a computer and exchange MIDI data between the two devices. You can send playback data from the piano to music software running on the computer, and you can send MIDI data from the computer to the piano for playback.
