Freshly Overhauled - From The S-Bow To The Bell!

A saxophone that gives the player maximum expressive freedom. Yamaha's YTS-82 Z tenor saxophone features a one-piece hand-hammered bell that, together with the TV1 S-bow, provides unparalleled flexibility in every respect.

One-Piece Bell With New Engraving

The one-piece, hand-hammered bell of the 82 Z tenor sax provides improved response in the low register, a robust, full-bodied tone and a smooth transition from the low to the mid register. The elaborate new engraving gives the instrument an attractive appearance.

Pads With Metal Resonators

The metal resonators deliver excellent response and a greater dynamic range. Both high and low registers react quickly and clearly, making fast passages easier to play.

TV1 S-Bow

The TV1S S-bow has the largest bore of all Yamaha Custom S-bows. It is very open and free, offers a wide dynamic spectrum and a robust tone rich in overtones.

Improved B–C# Connection

The improved B–C# connection with a longer lever ensures precise closing of the low C# key and a more secure response of the low notes.

Lighter Mount For Thumb Hook And Thumb Plate

The new lighter mounts for the thumb hook and plate give the instrument improved response and a more compact tone.

Adjustable Fork F Key

The adjustable fork F key allows the player to adjust the opening angle to their preference.

Secure Transport

The 82Z comes in a lightweight case with shoulder straps.
