Origin

XDrum singing bowls are produced in India using a labor-intensive process. While in the Himalayas they were traditionally used as cookware and tableware, Buddhist monks discovered the bowls as a meditation aid and thereby gave them a whole new purpose.

Handmade One-Of-A-Kind Pieces

XDrum singing bowls are crafted in an elaborate and painstaking hand process from 7 materials. This alloy consists of the metals copper, zinc, iron, nickel, aluminum, silver and gold. The exact composition can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. To achieve the final shape and the individual sound, the alloy is hammered into the desired form over a fire. It is often heated and cooled up to 30 times.

Unlike machine-made singing bowls, XDrum's handcrafted models are unique pieces. A certain tolerance in diameter and weight of the bowl is perfectly normal and does not represent a reduction in quality.

Handling

To produce the beneficial sounds and vibrations, the singing bowls are struck or rubbed with a mallet. In this way the bowl can even be made to sing. When several bowls are played simultaneously, a unique, enchanting sonic pattern emerges.

Tibetan singing bowls speak to body, mind and soul and clear the way for you to discover new horizons!
