Lyre harp made of beechwood!
Classic Cantabile's harp is an ideal introduction to the world of harps for adults and children. Easy to play and producing a full tone, this travel-friendly plucked instrument is simply a joy to play.
Construction
With the exception of the strings, the entire harp is made of beechwood. To improve the instrument's resonance, the body is assembled from just 2 parts: The body is made from a single piece of beechwood, onto which a beechwood soundboard is glued. The curved bridge (also made of beechwood) transfers the strings' vibrations to the resonating body. Since all the strings are plucked freely, fortunately it does not matter much if the bridge is not positioned with millimeter precision in its original place after a string change.
Strings and tuning
Unlike conventional harps, this lyre harp is strung with ordinary guitar strings. This makes finding replacement strings much easier. To restring the instrument completely, you only need 2 sets of acoustic guitar strings, with the lowest strings from each set left over. The tuning pegs are like those on a harp and are operated with the included square tuning key.
The harp's 10 strings can be tuned in two different ways:
- Diatonic: To play specific melodies and songs, tune the strings to the notes of the C major scale, starting with low D: D-E-F-G-A-B-C'-D'-E'-F'
- Pentatonic: For free improvisation or, for example, music education for children, tune the strings to D-E-G-A-B-D'-E'-G'-A'-B'.
Includes bag
What would a travel instrument be without a proper carrying bag? The softly padded bag protects your musical instrument from dust and scratches, while the separate inner compartment has plenty of room for the tuning key and other accessories.
Pure relaxation!

Really something nice. I can't really play it though. Maybe strung a little differently than it should be for me, but I'm pretty happy with it. Thanks for the good price. Maybe an insert with a nice song would be good. Something nice for everyone, like "Amazing Grace". A few sources on how to learn to play the lyre would be important for beginners.
A wonderful harp. I like it.

With ten strings, of course, the use is limited.
Reduces to pieces with a maximum of 10 different tones.
You may have to tune the instrument specifically for a piece.
A good tuner, which has a mic, is helpful.
And then you can have fun.
Suitable for beginners if someone helps with tuning and reading music.
