Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat - Natural - Acoustic Guitar w/ Electronics!
The Tim Armstrong Hellcat acoustic is ready to be rocked! It’s modeled on Tim Armstrong’s worn, vintage Fender acoustic from the sixties that he uses to write all the songs for his legendary punk band Rancid. Armstrong added a few stylish extras to his old guitar — like the "Hellcat" acrylic inlays with a pearlescent effect at the 3rd, 5th and 7th frets and the two skulls adorning the 12th fret. Other highlights include a solid mahogany top, scalloped bracing and the Fishman preamp.
Fishman Preamp With Built-In Tuner
A combined Fishman pickup and preamp system makes your acoustic ready for the big stage. The onboard controls let you shape your tone exactly the way you want it for amp and PA. The integrated tuner is positioned so you can read it while playing — after all, you want not only great tone but also spot-on intonation.
Scalloped Bracing
Scalloped means "scooped out, carved" and refers to how the braces were worked. This dynamically relieved bracing is thinner and lighter than conventional bracing. The result is less mass in the top, allowing it to vibrate more freely. That produces a more nuanced tone with greater range.
Solid Top
A solid wood top isn’t just attractive — it plays a key role in the instrument’s tonal development. A solid top vibrates harmonically and sustains well while remaining stable and sturdy, supporting an organic, consistent tonal character.
