Ibanez SR505N-MAM Midnight Arctic Ocean Matte - Return (Condition: very good)

Versatile Tone and Comfortable Playability!

The SR series has stood for decades for a lightweight body, fast neck and electronics suited to a wide range of musical styles. With a stable neck construction, balanced fretboard tone, flexible sonic options and powerful pickups, this model offers a modern solution for bassists seeking comfort and tonal versatility.

Stable Neck and Balanced Playability

The five-piece neck made of Roasted Maple and Walnut benefits from a heat treatment that enhances stability, resilience and moisture resistance. The rosewood fretboard complements this build with a balanced, mid-focused core character. Medium frets contribute to precise intonation and a comfortable playing feel.

Light Body with Bright Fundamental Tone

The Okoume body delivers a bright, solid tone and, thanks to its low weight, provides high comfort—ideal for long rehearsals or live sessions.

Powerful Pickups with Clear Definition

The Nordstrand Big Break pickups produce a powerful, slightly aggressive tonal texture while retaining the clarity of a single-coil without intrusive noise. The result is a versatile sound that cuts through in many genres.

Flexible Electronics with Musical Midrange Tuning

The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ offers a particularly musical frequency range. The mid control uses slightly different frequencies for boost and cut, enabling more precise tonal shaping. The EQ bypass with passive tone control further expands flexibility.

Individual Adjustment and Versatile Tone Options

The MR5S bridge allows variable string spacing setup for different playing techniques. A three-way mid-frequency switch complements the EQ with additional sonic variants and emphasizes this model's versatility.
